Frontend Lead | Laravel, JS/TS/React, Team Management, Scrum | FinTech
My client, a dynamic and growing tech company, is looking for a Frontend Lead to join their team. Their mission is to empower individuals by giving them the tools to manage their finances and credit better. Working alongside names like Credit Karma and ClearScore, they have already helped over a million people achieve their financial goals, and they’re continually innovating to offer more.
Role: reporting to the Head of Technology, the Frontend Lead will step into a hands-on and management role, 60/40 respectively, to look after a team of 6 and work in one of their core engineering teams. This is a frontend leaning role and the other team members consist of 1 offshore lead, 1 backend dev, 2 mid-level front devs, and 2 mid-level backend devs.
This particular team delivers software provided commercially to other credit companies. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the CEO, who is heavily involved in the commercial side of the business, take ownership of the team members, and lead scrum, and the commercial software that you will be working on.
Location: you will be required to visit their Bristol office in the city centre once a week.
Experience required:
- This role is frontend leaning with a preference for experience in JS, TS, and React JS/ Native
- Laravel: either in your current role or previous. Most of the work will be front end (react) but you need to be able to ensure that the junior developers are coding right for backend
- Previous lead, team management, or scrum experience
Nice to have:
- AWS, CI/CD, Lambda, Dynamo DB
- Data streaming technologies like Debezium and Kinesis
