Contract Data Engineer

MCS Group is working with a well-established Asset Manager in London as they look for a Contract Data Engineer to join them. This Contract Data Engineer will work alongside the Software Development Team, to design and implement a new data-centric architecture. As Data Engineer, you will get involved in data analytics, modelling and transformation for vital processes across the business. The Role This client is currently going through a company-wide data transformation, moving from legacy infrastructure to modern architecture. This Data Engineer will use their prior experience of similar projects to play a pivotal role in this process. You will design and implement the solutions which will assist in moving current application infrastructure to the new modern architecture. This includes the development of in-house applications, and integrating with third party systems and platforms. This Data Engineer will also assist in the creation of new business processes across all areas of the business, including risk and regulatory reporting. The Person Prior experience of Data Modelling, C#, .Net, SQL Server/T-SQL, Rest APIs and Git is essential. This role also requires experience of integrating 3rd party applications, and having worked on a similar migration from legacy infrastructure to a new modern architecture. You will also ideally have worked with Azure / Azure Synapse / Azure DataBricks on previous projects. Front-End Experience with Angular is nice to have but not essential. IR35: Outside Location: London - this is a Hybrid role with 2 - 3 days per week on site.
