Mechanical Chargehand

Chapman Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Chargehand to join an established company in the engineering sector, specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation projects. This contract is for at least 6 months and will lead onto work at future contracts.

You will be required to carry out Mechanical survey at Heathrow Airport. Ideally, we are looking for candidates that are working Chargehands that have a background in pipe fitting, duct work and plumbing for heating and ventilation. You will be surveying large pipework, ductwork, plumbing and drainage pipes.

Mechanical Chargehand job details:

• JIB rates + uplift. Depending experience approx (phone number removed)PH
• Hours 46+ hours a week with potential for more over time.
• PAYE with 25 days paid holidays.
• Pension contributions.
• Over 6-month contract with future contracts in the pipeline.

Mechanical Chargehand qualifications:

• CSCS card that is valid, in date mechanical bias.
• IPAF is preferred but not essential.
• Some experience of running a small team of plumbers.

Mechanical Chargehand requirements:

• Experience of survey work and other mechanical services.
• Leading a small team offering support and guidance whilst working.
• Experience of working with large hot and cold-water pipes for heating and ventilation and drainage pipes.
• You will report to the supervisors on site.

Mechanical Chargehand requirements:

• You must be able to obtain a full airside pass
• Clear DBS no criminal convictions
• Be able to provide a 5 year work history.
