Job Title: Engineering Technician – Electrical Location: Coventry Site: Hospital Salary: Up to £39,000 + On-Call Allowance Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled Engineering Technician with an electrical background to join our team at a busy hospital in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional looking to advance their career in a healthcare environment. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to ensure the smooth operation of hospital facilities. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. * Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance. * Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical installations, ensuring all work meets relevant health and safety regulations. * Work closely with the wider engineering team to provide comprehensive technical support across the hospital site. * Respond to emergency breakdowns as part of an on-call rota. What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in electrical maintenance or engineering. * Relevant electrical qualifications (such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition, or equivalent). * Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and procedures. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Experience working in a healthcare or similar environment would be an advantage.
