Are you an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Technician with a passion for electrical and electro - mechanical systems? We're searching for a day shift Engineering Technician to elevate our clients production capabilities and ensure seamless operations across their plant. Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you'll be a key player in driving process improvements, installation and commissioning projects, and reducing plant breakdowns through proactive maintenance. Key Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Resolving breakdowns and implementing action plans to improve machinery downtime. Champion the reduction of machinery breakdowns through diligent completion and review of PPM activities. Fault finding on electrical / electro-mechanical systems. Identify and spearhead process and machinery improvement projects to enhance H&S, output, efficiency, and reliability. Lead the installation and commissioning of new production lines, services, and equipment. Support and mentor the Maintenance team in refining department processes and practices. Experience / Qualifications and Candidate Attributes Required: NVQ Level 4/City & Guilds/OND or equivalent mechanical/electrical/engineering biased qualification or time served knowledge is essential. Minimum of 3 years experience in an engineering/maintenance-based role within a multi-functional manufacturing facility is highly desirable. In the absence of maintenance experience gained from a manufacturing environment, transferable engineering skills from other backgrounds such as the armed forces will also be considered. Ability to plan and balance daily work schedule based on PPM requirements whilst addressing plant and machinery breakdowns. Experience of working on plant improvement projects. General understanding of mechanical control principles. Experience of using ladder logic to fault find on PLC machinery would be beneficial, but not essential. IT literacy MS Word, Excel, Power-point. The package Starting salary up to £35K. 5% Company bonus. Great working hours! This is a day shift position working Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 16:00 & Fridays 07:00 to 11:50 (who doesnt love an early finish on a Friday!) 36 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (28 days + 8 days Bank Holiday) Holiday Buy & Sell programme.
