FPGA Engineer

Job Title: FPGA Engineer (Verification) - 6 Month Contract Location: Cheltenham Rate: Up to £75 per hour (Inside IR35, via Umbrella) Duration: 6 months Are you an experienced FPGA Engineer with strong VHDL skills and a background in FPGA verification? We're looking for a motivated engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract, working on cutting-edge aerospace projects. If you have experience with DO-254 compliance and enjoy lab-based testing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities: Conduct FPGA verification activities in line with DO-254 standards, including managing Problem Reports and producing essential documentation. Author and review lab-based physical tests. Develop and review test scripts and/or VHDL code. Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl) to support test development, analysis, and data management. Collaborate with technical leads to carry out various verification activities. Participate in code reviews and maintain traceability for test results. Required Skills and Experience: Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field. Strong VHDL knowledge, particularly for verification (testbenches, scoreboarding). Proven experience in FPGA design and verification. Familiarity with DO-254 verification processes. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Tcl. Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Hands-on lab skills for debugging and testing.
