Engineering Manager An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing Financial Services company in London as an Engineering Manager. Location: London; Onsite. Salary: £120,000-£125,000 Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of engineers to develop high-quality, scalable software solutions. Foster a positive team environment where members are happy and set up for success. Ensure effective onboarding of new engineers, maximising their potential. Provide support, coaching, and career development through regular one-on-ones and continuous feedback. Advocate for your team with empathy and support. Leading recruitment, and building a high-performing team. Build strong relationships across technology, product, operations, and other business areas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable plans aligned with strategic objectives. Take ownership of the delivery of assigned business OKRs.. Advocate for Agile best practices to deliver incremental value to customers. Design, build, and maintain infrastructure, services, and tools. Drive improvements in code development, testing, and deployment, while minimising technical debt. Collaborate with other engineering leaders to establish company-wide best practices and standards. Be hands-on technically when needed and assist team members with technical platforms during off-hours. Skills Required: 3+ years of experience as a technical lead or manager, with matching skills. Degree in software engineering or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience in building highly available, scalable, and maintainable systems. Familiarity with Salesforce, ReactJS, or AWS is highly desirable. Passionate about people development with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong understanding of what defines a high-performing engineering team and the ability to guide your team towards excellence. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for various audiences. Willingness to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
