Mechanical Installation Engineer

An established business with over 60 years of Automation experience; originally an Overwrapping Machinery supplier, our main business is now in the supply of Track and Trace Solutions for Tobacco production lines to meet the global regulatory requirements of our customers. Our Track and Trace solutions include full serialisation and aggregation to cover the entire production line process from pack to outer, outer to master case and master case to pallet completion. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside many technically gifted individuals within the industry. The Coding & Tracking EOL Mechanical Fitter & Installation Engineer is responsible for assembly, building, finessing, and testing the Coding & Tracking machinery. The role is hands-on, working within trained professions (Electrical, Mechanical). Furthermore, there is a requirement to represent us at all the customer's factories from a mechanical viewpoint, ensuring a sound and safe installation of our systems into the customer's production lines. We predominantly works in the Tobacco industry, so experience in FMCG and automation is desirable. Mechanical: Level 3 Diploma Time served as an apprentice (mechanically biased) 5 years industry experience - machinery manufacturing Good understanding of mechanical processes and assembly Interpersonal skills, initiative to install and build, good communication skills The ideal candidate will be willing to travel abroad but this is not necessary. (if desired travel can be up to 30-50% of the time, and significantly increase income)
