Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Aerospace Industry Permanent Opportunity Buckinghamshire THE ROLE - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer This is a rare opportunity to join a hugely successful aerospace engineering business in the design of exiting, safety critical aerospace equipment. It would be highly advantageous to possess prior aerospace design experience, with a preference to that being related to electromechanical systems. As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll be working on complex technical challenges and working with a truly talented team to deliver unique equipment to support global aerospace defence efforts. DUTIES – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Design of components and supporting equipment utilised in military aircraft. Carrying out performance and structural calculations. Producing 3D models and 2D drawings. Producing supporting documentation for engineering change. Working on both new development and sustainment projects. BACKROUND – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Degree. Aerospace background (Preferred) Electromechanical system design experience. Analytical mindset. Strong leadership qualities.
