Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

BCS Connect is on the lookout for a Multiskilled Maintenance Operator based in Stafford! As a Multiskilled Maintenance Operative, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities. You will perform a blend of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, contributing to the smooth running of all production activities. Responsibilities: Troubleshooting & Repair: Identify and diagnose faults in mechanical and electrical systems. Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs or replacements to maintain operational efficiency. Planned & Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and site facilities. Ensure machinery and equipment are serviced as per the maintenance schedule to reduce the likelihood of breakdowns. Perform repairs and replacements of worn or faulty mechanical and electrical parts, components, and systems using appropriate tools and techniques. Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operational. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, ensuring they are set up correctly and in accordance with safety and operational standards. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration into the production process. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety awareness and contributing to the identification and resolution of potential safety hazards. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in mechanical and electrical maintenance to ensure our operations remain competitive and efficient. If required, support the wider maintenance team on tasks within your capability. Ensure adherence to/compliance with company policies, rules and regulations relating to safety/health, performance standards, procedures, processes and training requirements. Qualifications & Training: Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Operative, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. 17th /18th Edition certification or minimum NVQ level 3.
