Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work for a machinery manufacturer in Scarborough. You will work closely with the sales department and other members of the design team to provide Tender drawings for clients as well as detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, installation drawings and Bill of Material lists for the production department. You should be highly competent in SolidWorks 3D and stress analysis including hand calculations, also able to provide detailed engineering reports for clients and 3rd party inspectors. You should have good experience in medium / heavy mechanical engineering environment. Must be educated to degree or master’s in engineering, with at least 7 years’ experience in a similar field, such as winch, crane, industrial gearbox, special machinery, or drivetrain. Experience in electrical or hydraulic circuits would also be an advantage. The right candidate is confident, self-motivated, and able to work with little supervision and have good attention to detail. They will be able to use their own judgement and problem-solving skills.
