What You'll Do:


As an Air Safety Management System Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our aviation systems.


Working across various platforms, you’ll be responsible for:


  • Developing and Implementing Safety Systems: Lead the development and management of an Aviation Safety Management System against RA1200.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements across the business to enhance our safety culture and engineering practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with the Military Aviation Authority (MAA), ensuring compliance and leading audits and working groups.
  • Incident Management: Manage occurrence reporting, investigate safety issues, and implement technical solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with program management, commercial teams, and suppliers to ensure the highest safety standards are met.


This Role Is Perfect For You If You Have:


  • A background in Aviation Safety Management with experience implementing and managing safety systems.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations such as DS 970, CS21, CS25, CS27, CS29, or similar standards.
  • Experience operating within MAA approval schemes or civil aviation authority frameworks (Pt 145, Pt 21, Pt M CAMO).
  • Strong knowledge of Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publications (MRP) and air safety management system requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to senior leadership teams.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a passion for driving organizational change and delivering high-quality results.


Desired Skills & Experience:


  • Experience in military aviation safety management.
  • Familiarity with the RA1200 Air Safety Management System requirements.
  • Previous Form 4 holder with signature/airworthiness responsibility (CAA or MAA).
  • A degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • Knowledge of Type Airworthiness Authority requirements.
