Skilled Mechanical Fitter

We are currently looking for a skilled mechanical fitter to join us in Heywood working within a growing team. As part of this skilled team, you will have the opportunity to drive the success of an integral business function, which in turn, will make a positive impact on our organisation. As a Skilled Mechanical Fitter, you will be tasked with assembling patient critical equipment to the medical/pharmaceutical industry including a variety of isolators for chemotherapy drug distribution such as microbiological safety cabinets, rigid isolators (gloveboxes) , Laminar airflow cabinets and Fume Cupboards. Working in a safe manner, achieving a high level of quality Notifying the team leader of any shortages in regular materials used To complete projects successfully and follow instructions from your manager Work with other teams to minimize delays and meet high standards. Assembling a full range of metalwork enclosure products manufactured by the company. Ensuring all test certificates and serial number logs are completed and kept up to date. Some travel to work at client sites across the UK, to fit and install the products. Liaising with the tradesman and contractors at client sites as required. What we are looking for. The ideal candidate should come from a strong mechanical background, preferably be familiar with working to a very high standards in the aerospace, nuclear, medical, or pharmaceutical sectors. Its essential to have previous mechanical assembly experience. A City & Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent is ideal but not essential. You will be required to travel to do ad-hoc installation work and will require a valid drivers licence (company vehicle is supplied for work purposes). Experience in working with and understanding detailed drawings. Previous experience of working to processes and defined quality systems. Working to high levels of accuracy and standards of finish.
