About the Role: Currently seeking an Electrochemical Engineer to support the scale up of innovative water electrolysis technology. Opportunity to collaborate closely with our Electrochemical Engineer, playing a crucial role in the design and acceleration of the technology development. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Optimise the electrochemical components, focusing on the performance efficiency Conduct research on the architecture and key parameters of our propriety water electrolyser Implement process control strategies to enhance electrolyser operation to ensure efficiency and quality Conduct experiments to validate process design and assesses electrode/system performance focusing on electrochemical characterisation Focus on the design and scale of the electrochemical processes from lab to pilot/commercial scale Support supplier management activities, including evaluating materials/components for electrochemical processes Prepare technical reports, white papers, and presentations to communicate results and progress to the team and stakeholders Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including material scientists, process engineers, and other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve process issues Bring passion to fight climate change, and develop a company culture of inclusive innovation valuing sustainable work Requirements Degree in Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field Industry experience in water electrolyser design, development and optimisation Knowledge of electrode characterisation, electro-catalysis, water electrolysis and electrochemical technology development Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting safe laboratory practice The successful candidate must, by the start of employment, have permission to work in the UK
