Senior Maintenance Engineer

Role: Senior Maintenance Engineer Location: Welwyn Garden City Salary: £55,000 - £57,000 + Overtime Shifts: Three Shift (Earlies, Lates and Nights – Monday to Friday) Benefits: Great Pension Scheme + Healthcare + Life Assurance + Overtime + Discounts on Shops The Company: Our Client are a global manufacturing business with multiple sites in the UK that have been established for nearly 100 years. With multiple long standing contracts and a growing order book, this business can offer fantastic stability and a long term career for the right Maintenance Engineer. The business is now investing in increasing the automation of the site and there are multiple projects ongoing that you will have the opportunity to work on and provide input for. With a strong Maintenance team on site you will be working alongside a shift partner and senior Engineers too. The Engineering Manager is implementing a culture where knowledge is shared and Engineers help each other to better themselves and the site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer who is looking for stability, training and collaboration within a position. The Role: The Role of Senior Maintenance Engineer will include the following responsibilities: Maintaining all of the production machinery on site including Conveyors, Labelling Machines, Fillers and Silos Leading Projects aimed at improving the OEE of the machinery Modifying and Programming PLCs (Mitsubishi and Siemens) Modifying and Programming on HMIs Liaising with Production and Operations regarding machine availability and updates on projects Taking a technical lead on tricky breakdowns supporting the Maintenance Engineers with Fault Finding The Candidate: The Right Candidate for the Role of Senior Maintenance Engineer will have/be: A Recognised Engineering Qualification Confident reading Ladder Logic code, modifying and programming on PLCs Experience working on Projects Work well within a team and be happy to share ideas Experience in completing Root Cause Analysis on breakdowns with the skills to Engineer problems out.
