Job Title: CNC Miller Location: Atherstone Hours: 39 hours per week (4-day week) Mon-Wed: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM Thurs: 3:00 PM – Midnight Friday overtime (1.5X) My client is seeking a skilled CNC Miller to work on universal bed-type milling machines with Heidenhein control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 3 & 4 axis machining and experience working with a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, and cast iron. Experience in machining medium to large fabrications and castings is essential. Key Responsibilities: Program, set, and operate Heidenhein control system milling machines. Machine a wide range of materials including stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, and cast iron. Work on large fabrications and castings to high tolerances. Safely use overhead cranes. Read and interpret engineering drawings and produce work to a high standard. Carry out self-inspections to maintain precision. Work with universal milling heads and ensure adherence to required specifications. Flexibility to cover shifts when needed. Qualifications & Skills: Time-served apprenticeship or substantial experience in machining. Proficient in tool selection, work-holding methods, and understanding cutting parameters. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Previous experience in precision engineering/manufacturing is essential. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be flexible to cover shifts during holidays. Benefits: Competitive salary with shift allowance. 25 days holiday + 8 public holidays. Company sick pay scheme (after 12 months of service).
