We're on the hunt for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at an industry-leading manufacturer just outside Plymouth. If you love solving puzzles, working with cutting-edge machinery, and making sure everything runs like a well-oiled machine, this job is for you! Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you'll be the go-to person for keeping our state-of-the-art equipment humming. What You'll Be Doing: * Be the Fix-It Wizard: Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems like a pro. If it's broken, you're on it! * Prevent Problems Before They Happen: Spot repetitive issues, wave your magic wrench, and help keep everything running smoothly. * Keep the Machines Alive: Whether it's routine PPM maintenance or an emergency breakdown, you’ll swoop in to save the day. * Be the Engine Behind Engine Moves: Help with machine installations and make sure new equipment is set up perfectly, with TPM/PPM across the site. * Team Up: Work closely with production and external contractors to ensure everything runs seamlessly. * Health & Safety Superstar: Ensure everyone stays safe while getting the job done, championing a healthy work environment. What We're Looking For: * A mechanical mastermind with an HNC/HND or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering. * Someone with serious problem-solving skills and experience in both planned and reactive maintenance. * A quick thinker who works well under pressure (breakdowns can’t wait!). * Team players who love tackling challenges together.
