Maintenance Engineer West Bromwich 4 on 4 off £48,000 - £52,000 DOE  Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is a pivotal role, where you will ensure that production lines and equipment are maintained, optimised, and continuously improved to support safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Working closely with the Maintenance Team Leader and cross-functional departments, you will play a key part in reducing downtime, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies that drive the success of the business. Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities: - Conduct timely preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations - Follow established procedures for managing tools, parts, and materials in the store - Promptly respond to breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving faults to restore equipment functionality - Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery and equipment on-site - Collaborate with the Maintenance Team Leader and Manager to complete tasks and meet operational goals - Identify and resolve technical issues, implementing corrective actions where necessary - Assist with the installation of new equipment, evaluating spare part requirements and planning for future maintenance needs - Ensure all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment at all times Maintenance Engineer Requirements: - Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias - Experienced within the food / fmcg sector - Ability to fault-find on PLCs. Shift Pattern: 4on / 4off. Shift 1 - 6am - 6pm Shift 2 - 6am - 6pm Shift 3 - 6pm - 6am Shift 4 - 6pm - 6am
