My client are a Temporary Works specialist who have more than 60 years of industry experience. They work with a mixture of Consulting Engineers, Main Contractors and small building companies on projects ranging from emergency response solutions up to complex bespoke projects.
Due to an ever increasing workbook, they are looking to add an experienced Engineering Technician to their team in their Birmingham office. Working on projects with the likes of HS2 and National Highways, they are looking for someone with experience in the design of temporary works solutions or closely related design tasks in a construction or built environment setting
You will have experience of designing from first principles and also following codes and design guides, whether industry norms or internal documents and have experience of designing in one or more of our product group areas in groundworks, bridging, propping, jacking or formwork and falsework.
As well as design experience, you must be strong with AutoCAD / Revit and other design software packages to produce high quality drawings. A knowledge of structural design and analysis software, for simple to medium complexity structural models is required, along with a good understanding of CDM 2015 and familiarity working with Eurocodes, British Standards, and other relevant design standards.
