Service Engineer

A leading technical specialist and knowledge based reseller and service provider for a select group of innovative OEM's within the plastics industry is seeking a Service Engineer to join their team. The successful Service Engineer will support Customers throughout the UK and occasionally Ireland, with all aspects of injection moulding machine service, repair and processing support. As a Service Engineer your duties will include, but are not limited to- An initial training and coaching phase, where you will shadow members of the current engineering team. The duration of which will vary depending on the level of preparation and knowledge of the candidate Equipment installation, start-up, commissioning and training Maintenance of equipment at customers' premises Service administration tasks Regular travel during the working week, covering throughout the UK and occasionally Ireland To be successful in the role of Service Engineer, the ideal Candidate - Has a working knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding machines and automation Has a good working knowledge of Mechanics, Hydraulics and Electrics (electrical qualification would be beneficial, but not necessary) Will show resourcefulness, good organisational and time management skills Should be methodical, with good attention to detail On offer- A basic salary of £40 - 50K, depending on experience Monday to Friday with occasional planned weekend work (rare) Maximum 10 hour day, including travel time Annual Christmas bonus Annual Profit Share bonus paid in March 23 days holiday + bank holidays Company pension contributions of 8% (employee minimum of 5%) Life Assurance In addition - A company car (typically a Skoda Octavia estate) provided for business and personal use Fuel card provided for business use Accommodation and subsistence expenses will be covered by the company If you think you could be a good fit for the service engineer role, please apply now to start your application ASC Connections Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
