Production Preparation Engineer

Production preparation engineer £27,000 p/a, HD4, 28 days leave, Monday to Friday 8:30-5pm, Pension, Parking, T/P. Job Role Due to continued success our Huddersfield based client who are a specialist in the design, manufacture, supply and servicing of bespoke industrial equipment, are looking for a production preparation engineer to join their team. Preparing both 3D and 2D CAD designs for manufacture using laser cutting and CNC bending software Preparing cut parts nests, fold plans and supporting documentation for shop floor personnel. Manage stock levels and supply. Occasionally operate the CNC laser cutting and CNC bending machinery. Support the development of standard operating procedures related to both cutting and bending procedures. Requirements A basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication methods (laser cutting/plasma cutting/CNC machinery) is essential Good understanding of Microsoft office packages is required A track record of using specialist software such as photoshop or home 3D printing software is essential Hardworking Good at working under pressure Willing to learn Good housekeeping Teamwork skills Good time management Company Information Based in Huddersfield, they are a market leader in their bespoke industrial product and over all aspects from design to servicing.
