Manufacturing Engineer Full Time, Permanent East Sussex £30,000 - £43,000 P.A DOE + Benefits and Career Development In a nutshell… Our client is a leader in manufacturing bespoke industrial equipment and solutions to businesses across the UK and overseas. They are the leaders in product innovation, and design concepts through to completion all on one site. The Manufacturing Engineer will be the main point of contact for production troubleshooting. This role involves close collaboration with design teams and production to optimise product performance and manufacturability while maintaining high quality and efficiency throughout the factory. You will play a key part in developing efficient manufacturing processes by implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting any production issues using lean and other manufacturing techniques that will achieve business objectives. What's involved for the Manufacturing Engineer… Interpret CAD or Solidwork drawings Collaborate with design and development engineering to ensure designs are suitable for a lean manufacturing environment Support validation and testing of new designs or design improvements, ensuring performance and reliability. Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance production efficiency and product quality Improve production efficiencies and maintain the product flow throughout the organisation. Analyse Build data - Review Shop floor build data. Identify problem areas and issues. Investigate and make recommendations for improvement Assist in the design of fixturing, tooling and handling equipment. Keep up to date with current manufacturing processes and maintain a good working knowledge of all product lines Deal with all none conformances and ensure that all rejected purchase parts are correctly recorded What you'll need… Strong manufacturing experience working within a project engineer, production engineer, production manager or a manufacturing engineer role Experience of implementing factory projects Proficient with Lean Manufacturing techniques Continuous improvement experience Experience within equipment manufacturing preferred but not essential CAD or SolidWorks experience a distinct advantage but not essential Benefits for the Manufacturing Engineer… Competitive salary Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm with a 4pm finish on Friday Excellent working environment Company pension up to 15% 25 days + 8 bank holidays Free parking Health cash plan Fresh Fruit daily Should you be interested in this Manufacturing Engineer position then please apply within.
