Assembly and Installation Technician Mechanical Technician Mechanical Fitter staff positions . Salary £41,000- 47,000 + benefits 25+8 days holiday ,Flexitime ,Pension. Due to an increase in work load projects over the next several years our client is looking for 2 further Assembly and Installation Technicians to join their existing team. The roles are within the nuclear industry and based near to Ellesmere Port. in Cheshire. We are looking for candidates with a high level of manual dexterity with experience in assembling complex parts or machinery. Someone with a back ground in the Automotive or Aerospace industries might have the skills and experience required. They must also be able to follow details procedures and be fairly computer literate. These roles were previously open earlier in the year and unfortunately previous applicants will not be re concidered. The individuals is will have experience in working to high quality standards in a previous manufacturing environment, with the ability to work to a high attention of detail. Also must be very Safety aware in the work place and able to follow safety protcols .Safe working is very important to this client. The role will include: Key Accountabilities * Performing complex and advanced assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions. * Performing high precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments (torque wrenches and digital gauges) * Monitoring the functioning of all equipment and tooling, report any problems or deviations. * To maintain and update the assembly results relating to various tests and inspection procedures conducted. * The pre-use checks of tools and equipment. * Recording daily production data into computer systems. * Working towards weekly production targets * Working towards 5S standards in a safe and responsible manner. * Working to a high level of safety, security and quality. * You will work in contamination and radiation controlled areas. * Good time keeping and attendance with flexibility required in order to meet customer needs. Experience & Qualifications You will have a good standard of education with a qualification in engineering/ manufacturing or production. Ideally, you will have had previous experience working in an assembly / manufacturing environment. You will have strong manual dexterity, be able to follow work instructions and procedures and carry out repetitive processes with zero defects. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary for working in a team environment, be flexible and have strong problem solving skills. Candidates need to be physically fit . Fork Lift Truck or Pedestrian Truck Licence is desirable Please note that candidates will need to be cleared to a high level of security clearance before starting. This is called DV Security Clearance is an essential requirement for the role. The process to obtain DV clearance will take some months ( est 8-9 months for a UK passport holder! ) And is pretty intrussive with lots of references and paper work. These positions are in a sensitive part of the nuclear industry and the client has to be very careful and must follow proceedures ! Hours The working hours will be Monday to Thursday 07:00am to 16:00pm and Friday, 07:10 to 12:00pm
