Principal Electrical Engineer – Mission Critical £100,000 (Total Package) Central London (Hybrid) A global leader in the world of engineering is looking to expand their Mission Critical team in London. As a result, a rare opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive experience within the Data Centre/Mission Critical sector has arisen to join this ever-expanding business. The Role As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will: Provide guidance to clients on electrical systems and requirements, ensuring they align with their needs and adhere to safety regulations. Develop electrical systems and equipment tailored to client specifications. Contribute to establishing design criteria for mechanical systems, including air and water components, in building projects. Conduct peer reviews of electrical designs and equipment specifications to ensure quality and compliance. Lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers in project execution. Engage directly with clients to discuss and finalise their requirements. Attend meetings and confidently lead presentations. Oversee project costs, ensuring they remain within fee budgets. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines. The Candidate The successful Principal Electrical Engineer will need: Minimum 11 years industry experience with excellent knowledge of the Mission Critical/Data Centre industry. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or architecture (or equivalent). Knowledge of electrical design principles. Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit. Experience at concept design level to assist with the development of data centre masterplans. Knowledge of European Standards.
