Engineering Shift Fitter

We are looking for experienced and ambitiousPSV Engineersto join Arriva, based at ourChesterDepot.

As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA.

• Full-time, permanent contract - 38 hours per week - Monday to Friday
• £17.30 p/h - £25.95 overtime mon to sat - £34.60 overtime Sundays

The role will involve:

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
• Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability
• MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
• Attending roadside breakdowns

Requirements:

• Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation)
• A full UK driving licence (6 points or less)
• Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical
