Mechanical Fitter / Assembler Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 4pm Hourly Rate / Salary: £27,040 - £33,280 Benefits: Holiday Pay & Pension Duration: Permanent Our client specialises in delivering high-quality mechanical and engineering services within the agricultural industry, known for its technical expertise and commitment to providing tailored solutions we are now looking for a dedicated Mechanical Fitter / Assembler operative to join our clients dynamic team. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assembly, fitting and maintenance of mechanical systems and machinery * Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans to understand system specifications * Performing inspections to ensure equipment remains operational * Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out necessary repairs or replacements * Testing and commissioning machinery to ensure proper functioning * Adhering to all health and safety protocols while working on-site or in the workshop What we are looking for: * Previous fitter and mechanical assembly experience * Confidence to read technical drawings * Knowledge of working in heavy machinery / engineering or a workshop environment So, are you ready for your next job?
