Job Title: Gas Repairs Manager Location: Bromsgrove Contract Type: Permanent Sector: Social Housing Hours 37 hours per week Mon- Thur 8:30 - 17:00 with 1 hour lunch Friday 8:30 - 16:00 ½ lunch About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Gas Repairs Manager to join our team in Bromsgrove, overseeing gas repair and maintenance services across council-owned properties within the social housing sector. This is a permanent role offering the chance to make a significant impact by ensuring the safety, compliance, and efficiency of gas repair operations. Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead a team of 7 gas engineers and 3 multi-tradesmen responsible for reactive repairs, maintenance, and servicing of gas appliances within council properties. Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure work is completed to high standards and in line with safety regulations. Ensure compliance with all relevant gas safety legislation and best practices. Conduct regular site visits and audits to monitor quality, safety, and productivity. Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of any issues. Manage scheduling and resource allocation to meet KPIs and deadlines. Handle budgeting, cost control, and reporting, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials. Investigate and resolve any escalated complaints or incidents.Requirements: Willing to achieve NVQ 3 in Gas Management within the 2 years Hold a Gas Qualification CCN1, CENWAT CKR1, HRT1 Experience in gas repair management, ideally within the social housing sector. In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to handle budgets, reports, and resource planning. Full UK driving licence. What We Offer: Travel allowance.
