ROLE:                    Test Engineer / Mechanical Engineer                                 LOCATION:           Darwen  SALARY:               Circa £45’000 plus overtime dependent on experience   A global manufacturer, this business has established a reputation for quality and reliability within the dry food and dry chemical industries both UK, Europe and US.     We are currently searching for a Test Engineer / Mechanical Engineer to support the customer experience with product testing for conveying and handling equipment.   The company culture is one that is positive, warm, welcoming, and driven. Collaborating closely with customers is key, communicating with them throughout the design and testing processes.   Test Engineer – R&D Engineer - Key skills:  Hands on approach to your work is absolutely key. Mechanical Design Engineering Degree or HNC is preferable but not essential. Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering. Natural problem solver. 2+ years industry experience is ideal. Ability to balance many tasks at the same time. Time management is key. Attention to detail plus positive attitude and manner. Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationships. Positive attitude working as a team and supporting colleagues.  Test Engineer – R&D Engineer - Role:  This role will suit a current Test Engineer, R&D Engineer or Mechanical Engineer. You will work cross functionally with the Engineering team and Sales team setting up / testing customers products with newly developed and designed machinery. You will support the team and customer by providing advice on equipment design, key practicalities, performance, research and development. Report building through product testing + recommendations to improve. COSHH is preferable and a good knowledge of health and safety procedures. Assist with or conduct R & D work as required. There is headroom to develop and progress within the business across either the Technical Department, Mechanical Engineering Design or Engineering Sales.   DISCOVER where our talent can take you
