Mechanical Contracts Manager

About my client:  My client is a busy Small/Medium sized Mechanical Building Services Contractor focusing on Commercial Heating, Domestic Services, Above Ground Drainage, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Projects. Projects include Schools, High End Residential, Hotels, Healthcare and Historic Buildings.  About the Role:Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this varied position will include managing projects (ranging from £50K to £1.5M) from tender acceptance; by placing orders with specialist subcontractors, plant and materials; job costing and preparing programs.  The successful candidate: Will organise site labor and liaise with the professional team, such as the Architect, Consultant and QS, the main contractor and the site foreman.  Will be expected to prepare monthly valuations and prepare operating & maintenance instructions Will also markup record drawings and prepare and finalise final Accounts.  May occasionally get asked to assist in preparing tendersAbout the Candidate:  Should hold an ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent Experience in running/managing HVAC Projects. Possessing design capability would be a bonus when they get involved in Design & Build Projects Should be a creative and innovative thinker with a flexible approachPerks: Car allowance £6,400 with HMRC approved mileage rates Choice of company vehicle once probation is complete
