Job Description: Mechanical Fitter Company: Murray Myers Recruitment Location: West Bromwich Department: Mechanical Facility: Lower-tier COMAH Facility Position Type: Full-time, Immediate Start About the Role: Murray Myers Recruitment is seeking a motivated and experienced Mechanical Fitter for one of our top clients in West Bromwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a skilled Mechanical Department at a lower-tier COMAH facility. We are looking for candidates who are available for an immediate start and are eager to work within a dynamic team environment. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Plant Installation & Modification: Conduct installation and modification work on mechanical plant systems. Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Perform maintenance on industrial equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, and pipework. Inspections & Testing: Carry out statutory inspections, pressure testing, and plant integrity checks, along with commissioning tasks. Use of CMMS: Utilize Computerised Maintenance Management Systems for maintenance tasks. Technical Interpretation: Interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities. Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safe systems of work and permit to work systems to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications and Training: Education: Minimum RQF level 3 qualification (e.g., City & Guilds level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering. Experience: Recognized Mechanical apprenticeship preferred. Desirable Training: Certifications in MEWPs, Abrasive Wheels, and Confined Spaces are highly desirable. Benefits: Holiday Entitlement: 25 days paid holiday plus all UK Bank Holidays.
