It's no secret how London (as well as most major European cities) has become even more expensive than it already was due to inflation and, speaking honestly, it was the major reason why I decided to leave a city that I'd spent most of my life in.
And after 12 months of living in Dubai, I have absolutely no regrets.
But now that I hopefully have your attention, we've partnered up with one of the very best ecommerce platforms in the entire MENA region where some of the very, very best engineers get to show off their skills (and build some seriously cool things).
They've been growing exponentially within the UAE and they're now entering a phase where international expansion is a real priority for them so it's time to add a few new faces into the team.
Specifically, we're looking for Senior Back End Engineers to join the team who have aspirations of progressing to Team Lead in the next 6-12 months. If you're already at that level, that's a huge plus.
Here's a full overview of what we're looking for:
- Absolute PHP and Magento specialists with a strong background in all things ecommerce. Experience with Microservices, Laravel and/or Symfony are huge pluses.
- You'll need experience of managing/mentoring a small team.
- A strong communicator and fluency in English is a must.
What's on offer:
- A monthly salary of between 35k-40k AED (£7,500-£8,000 completely tax free).
- Full VISA sponsorship and private medical insurance.
- Flexible working throughout the year - work remotely from anywhere in the world during the summer months (it gets pretty hot here in August haha).
