Highway Engineer

Highway Engineer   As a result of a significant investment in our client's transport network and wider infrastructure in the coming years, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Highway Engineer on a long-term contract basis.   What the job is for:   In relation to Highway Engineering, you will be responsible for: Conducting feasibility studies leading to final design and implementation of schemes to current technical standards. To prepare or assist in the preparation of technical design and contract documents Formulate project programmes and liaison and co-ordination of stake holders to deliver project to time scale and budget. Compile maintenance schemes / contracts and monitor progress of contracts and consultants to deliver cost effective maintenance of infrastructure. Supervise, motivate and direct junior members of staff to promote project delivery to agreed timescale and budgets.
