Commercial Gas Engineer (Worcester) Salary & Benefits
Salary: £43,000 - £45,000 paid weekly.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (30 mins unpaid lunch).
Overtime: Paid at enhanced rates (OT1 and OT2) for work outside of basic hours.
OT1: Single + 42% (Monday to Friday, early mornings, and early evenings).
OT2: Single + 82% (late evenings, weekends, and nights).
Overtime starts after 8 hours of work per day.
Call-Out Rota: Participation in the call-out rota, approximately 1 in every 6-7 weeks.
Company Vehicle: Provided upon commencement of employment (van or estate car) with a fuel card.
Annual Bonus: Discretionary, based on business and individual performance after 12 months of service.
Pension: Enrolment in the NEST workplace pension scheme (Employer contribution: 3%, Employee contribution: 5%).
Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Death in Service Insurance: 3x annual salary.
Enhanced Sick Pay: 4 weeks full pay after 7 days of sickness (post-probation).
Tools & Equipment: Mobile phone, tablet, and specialist tools provided.
Commercial Gas Engineer (Worcester) Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team. The primary responsibility will be to service and maintain commercial gas systems across prison and highway sites, performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as well as fault finding and repairs. The role will involve working in plant rooms, often in prison environments where background checks and Counter Terrorism Clearance (CTC) are required. The position also requires travel to other contract sites on occasion.
You will be based out of Worcester, with work across nearby regions, including South Wales. You'll have access to a company vehicle and fuel card.
Commercial Gas Engineer (Worcester) Job Requirements
Proven experience in commercial gas engineering, including working with forced draught, blown gas, and dual fuel burners.
Expertise in commercial boiler servicing, fault finding, and repairs.
Willingness to undergo and pass CTC clearance checks.
Willing to work in secure environments, such as prisons, with strict safety and security protocols.
A valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple sites.
