Engineering Production Manager- Commerical Vehicle Bodybuilding Near Melksham, Wiltshire Basic Salary: £50,000 plus P&L based-bonus opportunity 30% - £65,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 17:30, 45 hours per week. Flexibility required. We have a fantastic opportunity to join our prestigious bodybuilder brand as a Site Production Manager at our factory in Atworth. As the Site Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the smooth operation of the production site. You will be responsible for managing the daily workflow, ensuring that all production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in lean manufacturing, workflow management, and materials control will drive continuous improvement across the site. You will also be instrumental in setting up and managing the production facility to become established, ensuring alignment with business objectives. With a strong focus on communication and team development, you will mentor and support your team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Death in service benefit. 23 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays The Role Oversee the daily workflow, ensuring production schedules and targets are met. Ensure full compliance with shop floor policies, safety procedures, and quality standards. Manage materials control, ensuring availability of resources for uninterrupted production. Implement and monitor 5S principles to maintain a clean and efficient workplace. Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste. Identify potential challenges before they occur and take proactive steps to mitigate risks. Support the setup of the production site to become established through managing, planning and executing. Oversee all aspects of people leadership, including recruitment, performance reviews, training, development ensuring a motivated and high-performing workforce across the site. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to team members to enhance their skills and productivity. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Ensure accurate logging of production hours and attendance.
