Internal Sales Engineer

Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Representative required for a global distributor of Mechanical Engineering products such as valves, pipes and fittings. Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for preparing quotations and providing technical support for customers regarding the technical requirements of all products as well as sourcing new opportunities for sales with new and existing customers. Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Representative will be home based in Aberdeen and work remotely with occasional travel to the main office. You will hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Automation Engineering such as a BEng / HND / HNC or similar discipline within engineering. Relevant experience will also be considered for this position. Package: Full package to be discussed and is dependent on experience Bonus 26 days holiday + bank holidays Matched Pension Remote with occasional travel to the office Role: Prepare quotations for customers and provide technical support via Microsoft Teams, telephone and email Offer technical solutions to customers and clients on different mechanical engineering products such as valves and pipes Find new opportunities to increase sales with new and existing customers Work towards KPI’s and sales targets whilst maintaining accurate information on a CRM system Develop strong relationships with clients and attend client visits to follow up on orders Create documentation and guidance for clients to follow that is clear and easy to understand Produce regular reports for the Sales Manager  Requirements: Prior experience as an Internal Sales Engineer / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Representative / Senior Sales Engineer /Inside Sales Engineer or similar An engineering qualification such as a BEng / HND / HNC or similar in Mechanical Engineering / Automation Engineering or a similar discipline within engineering Candidates who do not hold one of these qualifications but do have relevant experience in a sales position will also be considered for this role
