Mechanical Fitter

Join a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Surrey, renowned for producing complex systems across various industries. We are urgently looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support our team in the assembly, fitting, and integration of high-quality mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and fit special-purpose machinery and mechanical systems.
• Perform mechanical fitting tasks, including cabling installation and integration of essential components, such as cooling systems, power supplies, and structural parts.
• Maintain high standards of build quality throughout the fitting process.
• Follow engineering drawings and technical documentation to ensure precise assembly and fitting.
• Use a variety of hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers, Allen keys) and power tools for accurate assembly.
• Collaborate effectively within the team to achieve production targets and uphold safety practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role working with complex mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, particularly in workshop and production environments.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly and fitting.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate and efficient work.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical safety standards and workshop best practices.
