Data Center Engineer

Data Centre Engineer – Bracknell & Surrounding areas £40,000 - £45,000 + Overtime opportunities GS Solutions are currently partnered with an IT consultancy who are looking for multiple Data Centre Engineers to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is based out of Bracknell with regular client visits along the M25 corridor. Requirements: Minimum 5+/- years DC experience Must have a background in handling kit (racking and stacking) Must have experience in Structured cabling (can terminate modules, RJ45) Must have experience in Patching devices (connect and dress) Maybe have experience in dealing with migrations Can read patching schedules (from client and also bespoke created patching schedules) Can carry out the Audit process HW and E2E trace Can operate Excel to a basic level Experience in Smart hands work (tickets, communicating with clients on carrying out tickets) Good at working as a team (not just a sole trader who is used to working solo on tasks) Must be happy to work flexible times and locations (not just a DC ops role within a DC)
