Engineering Manager

Well known Food Manufacturing business seeking an engineering manager whcih will lead a team of engineers. The ideal candidate has varied knowledge within FMCG secotrs. Roles + Repsonsibilities • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, ensuring effective resource allocation and team performance. • Preventive Maintenance: Implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability. • Reactive Maintenance: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, leading troubleshooting efforts to maintain operational efficiency. • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all machinery and engineering activities comply with relevant food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and health and safety regulations. • Project Management: Oversee engineering projects, including equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes. • Budget and Cost Control: Manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective maintenance and operations without compromising on safety or quality. • Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement. • Training and Recruitment: Train staff on best practices for machine operation and basic troubleshooting. Ability to lead recruitment processes to improve headcount on site. On Offer • £70,000 - £75,000 salary • Monday to Friday, 7.30am - 4:00pm. • Private healthcare
