The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Civil Engineer to join a leading provider of critical and complex engineering services which supports the national defence.
Job Overview:
The purpose of the role is to assist the Discipline Lead in delivery of the structural engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
Responsible for managing the technical deliverables of the structural engineering packages in line with the planned deliverables agreed by the Discipline Lead. The candidate requires prior knowledge of the principles of seismic engineering or have a background in design of nuclear-safety classified structures
Some of your duties will include:
Ensure that the engineering packages interface with the other packages, and to resolve conflicts / clashes
Communication of operational capabilities for systems to ensure that the overall operational concept meets the high level capability requirements of the Facility
Communicate design specification enabling justification and fulfilment of any associated Safety Functional Requirements (SFRs)
Communicate on project deliverables to scope, schedule and cost.
Raise any technical issues that may have an effect on overall project delivery
What do you need to succeed?
Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to discipline, post and project requirements
Sound project specification, planning, project management and budgeting experience
Working knowledge of relevant engineering office computer applications
