Mechanical Technician - Buckinghamshire - eVTOL / EV - £45k One of our key clients specialising in developing technologies for the eVTOL & Aerospace sector is hiring an Mechanical Technician to work for their business based in Buckinghamshire. The company are expanding rapidly and are at the forefront of the technologies across this sector. The ideal applicant will have experience in the Automotive / EV / eVTOL industries having had experience working on HV (High-Voltage) Systems and development builds. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and components in eVTOL and EV technologies, ensuring operational efficiency and high safety standards. Role: Mechanical Technician Location: Buckinghamshire Working Arrangement: 5 days a week on site Salary: £40k to £45k (Negotiable) Key Responsibilities: Perform assembly, installation, and integration of mechanical components and systems within eVTOL and EV platforms. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical systems, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact performance. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults using technical manuals, drawings, and precision tools. Support the testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure they meet operational and safety standards. Collaborate with electrical and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with high-voltage components. Adhere to strict health and safety protocols, ensuring safe handling and operation of all mechanical systems. Document all maintenance and repair work, including detailed records of faults, repairs, and system improvements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance. Stay updated on advancements in mechanical technologies and best practices within the EV and eVTOL sectors. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, preferably within the automotive, EV, aerospace, or eVTOL industries. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and safety practices in complex vehicle platforms. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical schematics. Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair techniques for mechanical systems. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Desirable Experience in the EV or eVTOL sectors is highly advantageous. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards for mechanical systems in vehicles or aircraft.
