Electrical Design Engineer

Your new role Responsible for the interpretation of clients' requirements in the design phase of projects.2. Preparation of detailed electrical design and general arrangement drawings for theManufacture of motor control & power distribution panels.3. Ensure compliance throughout the development of assigned projects with all relevantSpecifications, standards, and safety regulations4. Preparation of bills of materials for procurement.5. Preparation of documentation for the testing, inspection, and commissioning of electricalSystems.6. Assisting with the preparation of tenders.7. Participate in design/process reviews for products as required8. Engage in problem-solving and brainstorming, both individually and as part of the design team9. Maintain and update electronic files, using electronic document management software10. Liaise and build effective working relationships with clients11. Keeping up to date with changes to applicable UK and European legislation12. Keeping up to date with technological advances and new products13. Develop personal skills and capability through ongoing training, as provided by the companyOr elsewhere, subject to company approval14. Undertake any other such duties considered to be commensurate with the experience of theWhat you'll need to succeed Ideally, an electrical engineering qualification, but applications with suitable and related previous design experience in switchgear, automation, and electrical control systems will have equal working knowledge of Microsoft Office packagesUK Driving Licence, access to transport and willingness to travel within the UK and IrelandDesirable Knowledge of various electrical design software packagesExperience Essential 5 years of electrical experience (or relevant qualification - see above)Desirable Experience in the design of electrical control systemsExperience in EPlan & AutocadPrevious experience in the water industrySkills and Abilities Essential Natural aptitude for logical problem-solvingAbility to learn and adapt to new technologyAbility to work on my own initiativeExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervisionAbility to build relationships internally and externally with colleagues and clientsUnderstanding of engineering drawingsDesirable Project management skills What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
