KO2's client is seeking a hands-on Embedded C++ Linux Engineer for an exciting opportunity based in Aldershot, offering up to 75,000 per year. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow into a leadership position while working on cutting-edge embedded systems.

The Role:

• You'll be working with embedded C++ Linux in a dynamic environment, developing middleware solutions for a beamforming chip used in next-generation products.
• You'll take ownership of the codebase, troubleshoot, and debug code, all while working with the hardware on your desk - think ATM processor on a chip, running a Linux OS.
• The role requires someone who has a good grasp of both hardware and software, ideally with a degree in electronics or a similar field.
• You'll be responsible for developing new code for software development kits that are delivered to customers monthly, helping them integrate high-quality solutions into their products.

Skills and Experience:

• Embedded C++ Linux experience is essential, with the ability to work on low-level software and debug complex systems.
• Familiarity with hardware bring-up, middleware development, and working closely with EVB boards.
• Experience in application development within an embedded C++ Linux environment, not bare-metal or high-level software, but true middleware.
• While previous leadership experience isn't essential, an interest in mentoring junior engineers and growing into a team leadership role is key.
