Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Salary: c 48k
Shifts: Rotating days/nights
Overview: Working for a successful FMCG manufacturer you will be reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, working on the factory floor on a rotating shift pattern.
Key responsibilities
- You will be part of a team that ensures smooth running of all machinery in the production area.
- Provision and implementation of solutions in line with the site engineering strategy to reduce downtime.
- Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance.
- Continual commitment to a PPM culture
- Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on a range of specialist and high-tech equipment
- Fault finding, repairs and maintenance on high speed, automated machinery
- Compliance with all health and safety, Food safety, quality, and hygiene standards
- Highlighting opportunities for improvements in the maintenance plan and/or failure of components
Qualifications & Experience
- You will be qualified to HNC or equivalent standard.
- Experience within FMCG manufacturing.
- Fault finding on high-speed automated manufacturing equipment
- Multi-skilled engineer with an electrical/mechanical skill base.
- A proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop as there is considerable opportunity for development within the engineering function
