Virtualisation Engineer - £55,000 – Stoke My client, a leading MSP based in Stoke are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their growing team. They are at the forefront of technology and are looking to use a large round of investment to bring in top talent to their ranks. The Role You will be expected to handle the implementation and management of VM’s, Networks and Storage within a virtual environment. In this position, you will design and deploy VMware and Hyper-V to meet the demands of the business. Carrying out regular maintenance tasks such as patches and updates to ensure the security and stability of the virtual infrastructure. Act as the escalation point for 2nd and 3rd line engineers for any issues related to virtualisation. Ensure that best practices are kept within virtual environments such as encryption and monitoring Requirements Expertise in Hyper-V, VMware and vSphere. Cloud experience (Ideally Azure) A strong understanding of different virtualisation concepts, such as hypervisors, VM management and Network Virtualisation. Be capable in scripting and automation using Python or Powershell. You must have the ability to obtain UKSV SC Clearance (This means you must be a UK National or have been a resident for 5+ years.)
