Lead EC&I Engineer

About the Opportunity We are the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services. Our Nuclear team provides the front end design and engineering capability across the PPP portfolio. The Sludge Handling and Export Plan (SH&EP) is required to enable the treatment of mobile sludge, stored in SPP1, but originating from FGSMP, into a form suitable for long-term storage and disposal. We have an opportunity for a Lead EC&I Engineer to support the CE&I Responsible Engineer in delivery of the project’s CE&I design deliverables. * Collaborate, support and advise the Responsible Engineer and Engineering Managers on all aspects of CE&I design tasks for the project to enable a successful outcome * Lead and aid development of junior CE&I designers in the delivery of the work-scope. * Assist the Responsible Engineer in reporting progress against the project schedule. * Can produce and maintain key deliverable documents/reports, calculations, schedules, etc. to programme and of appropriate quality * Can liaise and coordinate with other design disciplines and plant engineering as necessary in the production of preliminary and detail design deliverables * Can manage a small team of engineers Here's What You'll Need: * Experience of design in accordance with the IET 18th edition (BS7671) or lower * Specific experience of security systems * Specific experience of programmable electronic system design and cyber security, ideally in the Sellafield environment * Experience of plant wide system design (IT, telephone, public address, etc) * Is conversant with existing CAE tools (e.g. Auto CAD, CAESAR, PDMS)
