The purpose of the OT Cyber Security Engineer role is to ensure the Safety, Reliability, and Availability of our clients’ critical operational systems. This involves developing robust security measures, managing security incidents, conducting regular risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
You will play a key role in protecting critical infrastructures and ensuring the smooth operation of essential services. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of providing top-tier managed security services.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for the OT Cyber Security Engineer are as per below but are not limited to:
Deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring networking equipment and server hardware in an OT environment
Become an advisor to our customer base, proving solutions to their OT cyber security challenges
Design, implement, monitor, and maintain solutions within industrial environments
Assist our SOC with Level 2-3 incidents
Promote OT cyber security risk improvement and contribute to developing a cyber secure culture in line with business practices across customer.
Supporting and co-ordinating response to OT cyber security incidents, working closely with site leadership, particularly Security Operations Centre (SOC) and CISO functions
Take a lead role in monitoring unusual activity across OT environments utilising asset management and vulnerability management tools, reporting incidents/vulnerabilities and working with SOC and Site functions for assessment, investigation and resolution
Provide guidance on how a client can turn their enterprise requirements into secure ICS designs
Developing proposals to meet customer requirements
Assisting the sales team with Presales tasks.
Essential for the role:
2-3 years + hands on experience working in an IT/OT cyber security role
Design and implementation solutions such as: IDS/IPS, SRA, Network Segmentation, Endpoint Security, Monitoring and Vulnerability management
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to conduct site audits and risk assessments
Team player with excellent communication skills
Full Driving License
Desirable for the role:
Experience working in an OT environment
Experience with PLC/SCADA/Automation Networks/protocols
Experience with normal OT project lifecycle and documentation
Knowledge of industry legislation, regulations and best practices (NIS Directive, HSE OG - 0086, IEC62443 etc)
IT/OT Cyber security qualifications such as CompTIA Security+, SANS GICSP, CISSP etc
