Electrical Design Engineer

Senior Electrical Engineer – Derby - £55,000 – 65,000

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Derby in the Rail industry.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role to take responsibility of the day-to-day Electrical Design tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake the electrical design concepts, schematic and wiring diagrams, calculations and engineering documents for Rail Rolling stock/ vehicle & carriage projects
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior Electrical Engineers and check drawings and documents
• Attend customer sites for site surveys and provide support including fault finding
• Liaise with other departments including Mechanical Design to ensure customer requirements are met

Key Attributes:

• Rail industry essential but ideally Rolling Stock/ Carriages/ Rail Vehicle background
• 8 to 10+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering and Design
• Knowledge of CAD – Ideally SolidEdge or similar.
