Geo-Environmental Engineer

The Role: As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out site investigations, preparing geo-environmental assessments, and designing solutions for a range of exciting projects. The role is a balance of office-based design work and site visits, giving you the opportunity to work on both technical reports and hands-on investigations. Key Responsibilities: ·Conduct site investigations including soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and gas monitoring ·Prepare geo-environmental assessments, risk assessments, and remediation strategies ·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geo-environmental solutions into project designs ·Manage site visits, supervising subcontractors and ensuring health and safety compliance ·Liaise with clients, local authorities, and contractors to provide regular updates on project progress ·Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to clients clearly and accurately ·Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget ·Assist in the development of junior staff, offering guidance and technical support What We're Looking For: We're seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer with: ·A degree in Geo-Environmental Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline ·2-5 years' experience in geo-environmental investigations, preferably within a consultancy environment ·Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and contaminated land assessment ·Experience with site investigation techniques, including groundwater and gas monitoring ·Proficiency in geo-environmental design software and reporting tools ·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and contractors ·Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across project locations ·Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
