We have a great opportunity to join the engineering team at our clients busy distribution centre in Chesterfield working DOUBLE DAYS shift pattern MONDAY - FRIDAY

Having gone live in April this year the team is growing and as a Shift Engineer you will play a key role maintaining, repairing and optimizing equipment in this fast paced environment.

You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns on some of the most advanced automated machinery including conveyors, packaging machinery, palletisers, totes, shuttles and robotics to name a few.

Key responsibilities for a Shift Engineer

• Mechanically; Reading assembly drawings, stripping and re-assembling with hand tools.
• Electrically; System testing, field wiring, system calibration, interpreting circuit diagrams
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Strong Attention to detail
• CMMS use
• Service and repair of equipment on site
• Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
• Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements.
• Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Hands on ownership of issues

Qualifications, Skills and Experience for a Shift Engineer

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• A solid understanding of PLC s
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
• Us of CMMS system and engineering stores
• Computer Literate

Salary and Benefits of a Shift Engineer

• Salary £41,200 + Shift Allowance £5,000 =£46,200
• 25 Days Holiday
• Contracted 40 hour
• Monday - Friday
• Double Days 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm
• Access to on site gym
• Up to 6% Employer Contribution
• Career progression
