Graduate Project Engineer
Our client provides innovative engineering solutions in sectors like Gas Turbines, Renewables, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, and Waste-2-X. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Project Engineer to join their team and contribute to transformative projects in the energy sector.
The Role:
As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will support the Head of Projects in managing the full project lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning. You’ll gain valuable experience working closely with clients and suppliers, assisting in project coordination, risk management, and ensuring timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Assist in overseeing project milestones, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Client Engagement: Communicate regularly with clients, supporting engineering and project updates, and helping build strong, professional relationships.
* Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure project requirements are met and maintain efficient operations.
* Risk Management: Learn to identify and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
* Reporting & Documentation: Support in creating progress reports, keeping accurate records, and ensuring timely document submissions.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and solutions to drive innovation and process improvement.
About You:
We’re seeking a motivated, organised graduate who is a natural problem-solver. You’ll be involved in a range of projects, making a meaningful impact on the company’s commitment to delivering world-class energy solutions.
What You’ll Need:
Essential:
* A degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferably 2:1 or above).
* A proactive approach to teamwork and the ability to work independently when needed.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Interest in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* UK driving licence and ability to travel for project needs.
Desirable:
* Internship or placement experience in project planning, scheduling, or report writing.
* Familiarity with sectors like Gas Turbines, Renewables, or other energy fields.
* Knowledge of fabricated systems or experience with large manufactured products.
